Jonathan is such a Daddy's boy. He often just crawls over to Matt and climbs into his lap. Matt just loves it.

Jonathan's First Birthday
Opening his gifts. Jonathan loved this set of lego type toys.
Playing in the pool with Ava. She is only 6 days younger than Jon. It doesn't look like they had fun, but Jon definately loves the pool and stayed in for quite some time.
Ben was a great helper, although his intentions may have been selfish.

Playing Together

It has been so neat to see the boys starting to learn to play together. Ben and Jon just love each other so much and watching this brought a smile to my face. Who needs toys, all you need is two brothers and a blanket.

Excuse the TV noise in the background, I was worried if I stopped the movie they would stop playing.

5 Years Married and a Weekend Away to Celebrate
Matt and I went to Kicking Horse Mountain for the weekend to celebrate our 5th Anniversary. On Sat we did some climbing together. It was nice to do that just to 2 of us, a good trust exercise.
This was the view we woke up to. There was a window right out the foot of our bed with no blinds, (high enough up no one can see in).
On Sunday we visited the Grizzly Bear Refuge. It was neat to see a grizzly so close. He looks so cuddly, but definately is not.

A picture of our B&B. We really enjoyed the peacefulness of Kicking Horse, it was so quiet, even on Canada long weekend.

Congratulations!! You're a VET!!

This is a little late, but better than never I suppose. A day after we returned from Hawaii we all (excluding Matt) travelled to Saskatoon for my sister's grad. Thanks to Leila and Shane, I was able to leave the boys and enjoy an evening of celebrating with my sister her completion of vet school. I am so excited for her to have reached a goal she's had since she was a little girl!
Jenn is going to be continuing her studies in Trenton, New Jersey, doing a small animal internship. I will miss her so much but am excited to visit her in a new place. New York City, here we come!!

Matt and I dressed up for dinner. For my parents 35th Anniversay we had a chef come and cook for us.

Matt saw this crab one day while bouldering. Another day he saw a sea turtle.
Matt and I went out on a date the last night. We had a yummy supper on the ocean front and then walked around downtown Lahaina.
